Worm Farm revisited..

Posted November 22nd, 2010 by Rob Bob : )»

The New Worm Farm/Kingdom has been finished....

On a rough estimate, it cost just under $50.. Most of that was $25 for the barrel then the rest was used on the latches, rivets & the washers to stop the rivets from pulling through the plastic..

The worms should be moved in on the weekend if I can finish the Worm harvester so we can seperate the worms from a large tray of castings... We can also use the harvester for sieving the composted bedding from the Chook yard.... There is still bits of pottery & glass from the old rubbish dump turning up every now & then... Not to good if they end up ripping the lining in the Wicking Beds...

Got a happy surprise when checking the Galangal Barrels yesterday....

Looks like we shall have a Flower from it by the weekend.... The Rainbow Sliverbeet are also flowering at the moment.... Cant wait to get some seed from them & plant the next generation.....

More updates here if you interested....

Have a great one all....
