Lemongrass harvest...

Hi all...

Spent the afternoon in the garden chasing a Brown snake, building a Wicking barrel for some Lemongrass, dismantling a failed compost bin (much to the Chooks delight) & filling dust bath holes the Chooks have left now that they have a small yard under the Mango tree to play in...

We have been trying to find places for all our spice plants & have decided on Wicking barrels as they are taking up precious bed space.....

The Galangal & Turmeric will be put in between the 2 lime trees... The blue barrels will stand out a bit but we're not to fussed about that.... The Ginger will probably go between the Lemon Tree & the Chook Pen as it needs a bit more shade than the others...

The leftover Lemongrass from the planting today was harvested ready for the freezer...We got over a Kg worth so that should help keep us in Thai curry's for a while.... Still have 2 more "clumps" left to either harvest or pot out.....

We also picked a rather large Zucchini & a few chillies... The Lettuce in the cup is left over from Monday night waiting for some curried egg to befriend it me thinks....

Have a great one all....
