Prime Valley Pastoral Company Cnr Temby & Germantown Rd, Two Wells, South Australia, Australia, www.primevalleypastoral.com.au/index.shtml

I have found this to be the best place to purchase bulk meat. The Prime Valley Pastoral Company sells excellent quality lamb and beef at reasonable prices per kilo. You can buy either a half or full animal cut to you requirements. I buy a full lamb every 3 to 4 months and usually costs around $150 mark. The main supermarket stores usally charge $10 plus per kilo for lamb and this company charges $7.20 per kilo.

You order by either ringing their office or online through their site. Place your orders on Monday and it will be ready to pick up on Friday. The company does not have a delivery service but they are looking at getting one in the near future. I pick up our order from the site, my order is ready when I get there and they have EFTPOS. Your meat will be placed in a large plastic bag and you have to divide it up at home. On hot Adelaide days I would recommend taking an Esky to put your meat in.

The meat is succulent and flavoursome and freezes extreamly well.

The meat prices vary according to the market value. Last year lamb was $6.70 per kilo. But it is still way cheaper to buy it in bulk like this than the supermarkets.
